Tianqi Zhao

MSc Student, Epidemiology

Tianqi Zhao is an MSc student in Public Health (Epidemiology) at the School of Public Health, University of Alberta. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public health from Monash University in 2019. She has worked as an intern in the Program Evaluation and Monitoring Department in Gauteng Department of Health, South Africa in 2019. Tianqi’s thesis will be based on investigating the relationship between depression among pregnant women and adverse birth outcomes under the critical COVID-19 pandemic in the city of Ma’anshan, Anhui province, China. Tianqi is also working as a research assistant now for the COVID-19 Prenatal Mental Health Program. Her program aims to contribute to initiatives to improve the mental health of women and healthcare providers.
