Markus is an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta, moving into his third year of a degree in general sciences with a Biological Sciences Major and a History Minor. Born in the German town of Freising, Bavaria, Markus moved to Edmonton at the age of 4 and has lived here ever since. Markus is involved in numerous volunteer operations on campus, including UASU's Safewalk and the Dean of Student's Healthy Campus Unit. He is currently working on the project as a summer student and is developing a climate change photo exhibit to be used as a knowledge mobilization tool.
